The Startup Camp is part of the 'AI-Centered Industrial Convergence Complex Development' project carried out by the AI Industry Convergence Business Group, designed to nurture prospective AI entrepreneurs and cluster startup companies before the complex is established.
Located on Geumnam-ro, Dong-gu, the Startup Camp is a six-story shared office building equipped with secure independent office spaces, as well as specialized optimal convenience facilities tailored for entrepreneurs, including classrooms, seminar rooms, meeting rooms, a gym, and a sleeping room.
Gwangju City and the AI Industry Convergence Business Group plan to gather policies and information related to startups within the next three years through the operation of the Startup Camp, effectively utilizing them to build an AI business ecosystem.
Son Kyung-jong, Director of the AI Industry Bureau of the city, said, “We will continuously build the startup ecosystem through the clustering of AI-related companies, including the operation of the Startup Camp. We will expand startup support facilities fitting the AI Gwangju era to lower the barriers to entrepreneurship and devote all our efforts to job creation and regional economic growth.”
