“Daechudongdong Ssanghwacha Please” Ediya Coffee Launches ‘3 Types of Traditional Tea’


[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Ediya Coffee announced on the 20th that it has launched three types of traditional teas?Ssanghwa-cha, Jujube tea, and Ginger tea?perfect for enjoying in the chilly weather.


They carefully selected the traditional teas most loved by Koreans, preserving the healthy taste and capturing the deep and fragrant flavors of the raw ingredients, all offered at an affordable price for everyone to enjoy.


Ediya’s “Ssanghwa-cha” features a sweet and slightly bitter aroma and a pleasant sweetness, made with various ingredients such as Cheongung (Cnidium officinale), White Peony, Angelica, Jujube, and Licorice, making it a beverage enjoyed by a wide range of age groups. It is topped with domestic pine nuts and dried jujubes to add a chewy texture and a nutty flavor. The “Jujube tea” is filled with plenty of domestic jujubes, blending a fragrant aroma with a sweet taste, and includes dried jujubes for an enjoyable chewy texture. The “Ginger tea” combines the rich flavor of domestic ginger with sweet yuzu and honey to create a rich aroma.


On the same day, Ediya Coffee also introduced two dessert products using winter snack Hotteok. The “Honey Hotteok” is filled with a sweet and nutty hotteok filling accompanied by crushed peanuts inside chewy glutinous rice dough, grilled to a golden brown to evoke nostalgic flavors. The “Ice Cream Hotteok” is a unique menu item that places vanilla ice cream on warm honey hotteok, garnished with grain powder and maple syrup, adding visual delight as well.
