The 2nd Gwanak Youth Festival Ontact Live Concert Held

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee), known as the nation's number one "Youth City" with a youth population ratio of 41.9%, will hold the "2nd Gwanak Youth Festival," a communication platform for valuable "youth life" in the post-COVID-19 era.

The festival, scheduled from 4 PM to 7 PM on the 24th, is prepared to comfort young people who are socially and economically exhausted due to COVID-19, to gather together, and to share various cases and experiences regarding social participation opportunities and overcoming crises.

A district official expressed expectations, saying, "In a situation where offline meetings and festivals have been absent for a long time, this event will provide a place for youth to communicate, creating an opportunity for them to become key participants in district administration, and a place to socialize and exchange ideas together."

Held for the second time since 2019, this festival will be hosted by comedian Lee Jung-soo and will feature various programs including ▲Youth Radio Star, combining performances by young artists with their stories ▲Online world travel lectures ▲Bang-guseok Concert, providing performance opportunities for young artists ▲Youth Talk Talk, themed on living as youth in the COVID-19 era.

Additionally, a large screen will be installed as the stage background to allow participation of 100 online panelists. Using the Zoom platform, interactive video communication and chat will enable diverse opinions to be shared, providing a sense of presence as if attendees were physically at the venue.

Applications for online panel participation are available until the 22nd via the Gwanak-gu Office website (News & Notices → Gwanak News). The event will be broadcast live in real-time on the day through Gwanak-gu Office’s YouTube channel "Live Gwanak."

Mayor Park Jun-hee stated, "In the prolonged COVID-19 situation, the district plans to comprehensively support young people by jointly addressing various challenges they face and helping them design a healthy future," adding, "We hope the 'Gwanak Youth Festival' will be a stepping stone for Gwanak to advance further as a youth-specialized district."
