No Enrollment Limits for Master's, Doctoral, and Integrated Master's-Doctoral Programs in Technology Management
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] The Graduate School of Technology Management (MOT) at Gyeongsang National University is recruiting new students for the first semester of the 2021 academic year. There is no limit on the number of admissions for the master's program, doctoral program, and integrated master's and doctoral program in Technology Management.
All graduate school courses are conducted on both the Jinju and Changwon campuses using a blended learning method that combines the advantages of online and offline learning.
Full-time MOT graduate students at Gyeongsang National University receive full scholarships, while part-time students receive 50% support. Opportunities are provided to participate in industry-academia projects by track type and in the Gyeongnam industry-academia-research-government network. Every year, outstanding graduate students are offered short-term overseas training related to technology management, and expenses for attending international conferences are fully supported.
Applications are accepted from October 19 to 30 through the Gyeongsang National University Graduate School website and JinHakSa. After applying, the printed application form, transcripts, and other required documents according to the recruitment guidelines must arrive at the Graduate School Administration Office by 6 p.m. on November 3. Failure to submit the required documents will result in disqualification.
Examination admission tickets must be printed and kept as they are necessary for interviews and confirmation of successful candidates. The interview and oral examination will be held on November 19 at a designated location, and successful candidates will be announced on December 4 on the Gyeongsang National University Graduate School website.
The Department of Technology Management at Gyeongsang National University, newly established for the first time in Gyeongnam, cultivates ‘STAR-G Technology Management Talents,’ representing Smart Manufacturing (S), Technology Commercialization (T), Artificial Intelligence/Big Data (A), R&D Management (R), and Gyeongnam (G).
Gyeongsang National University MOT offers education tailored to three tracks: company-customized, job competency, and convergence startup, according to the type of participating graduate students.
The company-customized track is for full-time students. It provides convergence technology capabilities to students majoring in humanities and social sciences, and technology management capabilities to engineering majors, helping them grow into specialized professionals in convergence technology commercialization.
Through company-matched industry-academia projects, it solves corporate challenges and nurtures talent that meets corporate demands, linking jobs that utilize their majors through the industry-academia-research-government network.
The job competency track is designed for students who are working. It focuses on solving corporate challenges and technology commercialization issues through industry-academia projects. This promotes growth for both companies and participating graduate students by deriving solutions and applying technology commercialization in the field.
The convergence startup track supports both full-time and part-time students by providing practical startup support based on strategic technology management using convergence technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data. This includes startup practice, commercialization and productization, expert know-how, and investor attraction.
Gyeongsang National University MOT, established for the first time in Gyeongnam, has formed a practical network where technology commercialization personnel from industry, academia, research, and government gather to communicate and learn, growing into experts.
For this purpose, networks have been established with local governments such as Gyeongsangnam-do and Jinju City; universities including Gyeongsang National University and Gyeongnam National University of Science and Technology; innovation institutions in Gyeongnam such as the Small and Medium Business Corporation, KTL, and Jinju Chamber of Commerce; and companies like AHN Structure and Daeshin Precision.
Additionally, networks will be established with Jinju Small Giant R&D Special Zone, Aviation Cluster, Gyeongnam Technopark, Korea Management Association Consulting, Korea Productivity Center, KOPEA, and others. The plan is to advance as a smart manufacturing industry-academia-research-government network in the machinery and aerospace fields of Gyeongnam.
