Incident Scene 'Visible 112' System... Smart Policing at a Glance 2020 International Public Safety Industry Expo.

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Videos from incident scenes are transmitted in real-time to the 112 comprehensive control center and patrol cars. Multipurpose drones are utilized in the sky for disaster response and safety surveillance. The 'smart policing' once seen only in movies has become a reality. This is our cutting-edge future that can be witnessed at the '2020 International Public Safety Industry Expo' to be held on the 21st.

You witness someone wielding a weapon and acting violently on the street. Fearing immediate harm to those around, you quickly report it to 112. Thinking the threat is not within immediate reach, you use the 'Visible 112' system to send the situation via video to the police officers. This video is transmitted not only to the 112 comprehensive control center but also to the patrol cars dispatched to the scene, allowing officers to check it in real-time. Police officers, having accurately assessed the situation even before arrival, swiftly suppress the disturbance.

The Visible 112 emergency reporting support system developed by NEMO Co., Ltd. has made this possible. Without installing a separate app, the police who receive the report can transmit the scene in real-time using only the internet address (URL) they send.

Drones, known as the 'flower' of the 4th Industrial Revolution, are also one of the most notable fields in the public safety industry at this expo. Korean Air Aerospace Business Division will showcase the 'Hybrid Drone' at the forefront. The hybrid drone, as the name suggests, is a drone that can be used for multiple purposes. It can be utilized for disaster response such as wildfire monitoring, delivery services to logistics-vulnerable areas as a civilian task, and can also be deployed for search operations in mountainous and coastal areas difficult for humans to reach. The hybrid drone boasts high specifications, capable of flying at a maximum speed of 70 km/h, a maximum altitude of 1 km, and can be controlled within a radius of 5 to 10 km from the operation point for 2 hours.

Solutions to respond to cyber sex crimes such as body cam phishing and revenge porn, which have become social issues, will also be introduced. The solution developed by LavaWave responds within 24 hours to the distribution of photos and videos by body cam phishing blackmailers, and blocks video searches within 5 minutes when revenge porn is distributed online, including the internet. Data that can be used for arrests is sent to the police to support swift apprehension of criminals.

Marking its second year, the Public Safety Industry Expo is expected to be a place to see Korea's most advanced public safety and security technologies at a glance. A police agency official said, "Through this expo, we will do our best to promote the public safety industry and simultaneously show the public the present and future image of the police." Co-hosted by the National Police Agency and Incheon City, this expo will be held online in a non-face-to-face format from the 21st until the end of December.
