SK Rent-a-Car "Rent Niro EV for 680,000 KRW/month Including Charging Fees"

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] SK Rent-a-Car announced on the 19th that it will launch the 'EV All-in-One' product, which includes charging fees in the monthly rental fee for electric vehicles. This service, introduced for the first time not only in Korea but also in the global rental car industry, is expected to bring a new wave to the electric vehicle rental market.

The newly launched 'EV All-in-One' product includes charging fees in the monthly rental fee, allowing customers to charge for free at about 7,000 Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and Ministry of Environment chargers nationwide within the agreed mileage during the contract period by paying only the rental fee. KEPCO and Ministry of Environment chargers account for 80% of electric vehicle charging stations nationwide, and can be easily used with user authentication without separate payment using the SK Rent-a-Car exclusive charging card.

An SK Rent-a-Car official said, "Electric vehicle charging fees increased by 47% (fast charging standard) in the second half of this year alone, but the 'EV All-in-One' product allows unlimited charging without rental fee increases throughout the contract period, so drivers can drive without worrying about charging."

To launch the 'EV All-in-One' product, SK Rent-a-Car signed a business agreement with KEPCO in June to develop a new electric vehicle charging service. Recently, it also invested in Softberry, a domestic electric vehicle charging platform company. Through this, SK Rent-a-Car electric vehicle customers can more easily use the service by utilizing information on the location and usage of chargers nationwide through Softberry's mobile app 'EV Infra.'

SK Rent-a-Car offers two models with the 'EV All-in-One' this year. Until the end of the year, the Kia Niro EV is available for 683,200 KRW per month, and the Renault Zoe EV for 597,200 KRW per month on a first-come, first-served basis.
