Support for Startup Spaces, Rent and Maintenance Fees, Commercialization Funds, Education, and Consulting
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongsangnam-do Tourism Foundation announced on the 19th that it will publicly recruit resident companies in the tourism sector inside and outside the province to shape the future of Gyeongnam's tourism industry until the 26th.
The recruitment fields are divided into three categories: ‘Preliminary Tourism Startups’, ‘Regional Innovation Tourism Startups’, and ‘Regional Win-Win Tourism Ventures’, with a total selection scale of about 12 companies.
The recruitment targets include business operators wishing to start new businesses with tourism-related startup items, business operators within 7 years of establishment in Gyeongnam, and business operators with more than 3 years of establishment who were selected in the Korea Tourism Organization's Tourism Venture Contest.
Selected entrepreneurs will be provided with startup spaces at the Gyeongnam Tourism Enterprise Support Center, scheduled to be established in the Gyeongsang Hall of Changwon Munsung University, support for rent and management fees for 6 months, customized education, and dedicated mentoring for capacity building. Outstanding selectees will also receive commercialization funds worth 10 to 30 million KRW after evaluation in the first half of next year.
A representative of the Gyeongsangnam-do Tourism Foundation stated, “Through this recruitment, we will actively discover and nurture promising companies that will lead the revitalization of Gyeongnam tourism so that the Gyeongnam Tourism Enterprise Support Center can establish itself as a nationwide tourism startup mecca.”
