[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] The volunteer group of NH Nonghyup REITs Management visited Byetgari Village located in Iwon-myeon, Taean-gun, and assisted with the harvest season labor on the 18th.

Despite the harvest season, they visited farms struggling with labor shortages due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and helped with soybean harvesting. They also prepared for the off-season by applying fertilizer and organizing farming tools.

After the labor assistance, NH Nonghyup REITs Management employees carried out village environment improvement activities in Byetgari Village, including cleaning and repair work. They then visited the village hall to share the difficulties of rural residents and farmers and delivered COVID-19 prevention supplies prepared for the elderly.

CEO Seo Cheol-su said, "I am glad to be able to help farms in need during these difficult times of COVID-19," adding, "We will provide practical support to rural areas through purchasing rural agricultural products and regular urban-rural exchange activities." Kim Hong-gu, the head of Byetgari Village, said, "Due to labor shortages caused by COVID-19 this year, we were considering abandoning the soybean harvest and reclaiming the field," and expressed, "We are truly grateful to the NH Nonghyup REITs Management employees who helped us in this difficult situation."
