Held Privately at Seoul Shilla Hotel
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Minjeong (29), the eldest daughter of Seo Kyung-bae, chairman of Amorepacific Group, will hold her wedding ceremony on the 19th.
According to industry sources on the 18th, Minjeong will marry Jeonghwan (35), the eldest son of Hong Seok-jun, chairman of Bokwang Venture Investment. The wedding ceremony will take place at the Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul, and will be held privately with only immediate family members from both sides and friends attending, without inviting extended relatives.
Previously, the engagement ceremony held at the same venue on June 27 was attended by Hong Ra-hee, former director of the Leeum Museum and wife of Samsung Electronics chairman Lee Kun-hee; Lee Boo-jin, president of Hotel Shilla; Lee Seo-hyun, chairwoman of Samsung Welfare Foundation; Hong Jeong-do, publisher of JoongAng Ilbo and eldest son of former JoongAng Ilbo chairman Hong Seok-hyun; Hong Seok-jo, chairman of BGF Group; and Hong Seok-gyu, chairman of Bokwang Group. Chairman Hong Seok-jun is the younger brother of former director Hong Ra-hee, former chairman Hong Seok-hyun, and chairman Hong Seok-jo.
Minjeong graduated from Cornell University in the United States with a degree in economics and is currently working as a manager in the Group Strategy Team at Amorepacific. Hong Jeonghwan is known to be in charge of investment screening at Bokwang Venture Investment.
