The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced on the 18th at 12 PM that the number of confirmed cases related to 'SRC Jaehwal Hospital' in Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi Province, increased by 19 from the previous day, bringing the total confirmed cases to 51. On that day, a total of 19 additional cases were confirmed, including 9 hospital staff, 9 patients, and 1 caregiver.

The ward where confirmed cases have appeared is currently under cohort isolation, and comprehensive testing is underway for about 620 hospital employees and patients.

The health authorities believe there is a possibility of additional confirmed cases since employees of SRC Nursing Hospital, adjacent to SRC Jaehwal Hospital, have been moving between the two hospitals.

Regarding Jamun Medical Devices in Songpa-gu, Seoul, an additional transmission during contact tracing (Gangnam-gu CJ Telenix) was confirmed, bringing the total cumulative confirmed cases to 33.

A CDCH official said, "Among the 33 cumulative confirmed cases, 22 are related to CJ Telenix and 11 to Jamun Medical Devices," adding, "It is presumed that a family member of a visitor to Jamun Medical Devices is a CJ Telenix employee, which caused transmission within the workplace."

In relation to Casino Bar (KMGM Hold'em Pub Incheon Mansu Branch) in Namdong-gu, Incheon, one additional case was confirmed during quarantine, increasing the total confirmed cases to 16.

The proportion of 'unknown' patients, who do not know when or where they were infected, slightly decreased from 16.5% the previous day to the 15% range on this day.
