On the 17th, the production team of tvN’s ‘New Journey to the West 8’ posted on their official Instagram, "We apologize for the inconvenience caused to viewers due to the editing delay. We sincerely apologize to the viewers and cast members who support 'New Journey to the West.' We will do our best to prevent recurrence in the future."
On the 16th, during episode 2 of 'New Journey to the West 8,' the broadcast suddenly stopped in the middle of the music scholarship quiz segment. After the broadcast was cut off, scenes from episode 1 aired last week showing the cast in makeup appeared for about 1 to 2 minutes, and overlapping subtitles and other broadcast errors occurred consecutively.
Immediately, tvN displayed subtitles stating, "The broadcast is delayed due to station circumstances. We apologize for the inconvenience and ask for your understanding," and the broadcast resumed after about 5 minutes.
Afterward, the 'New Journey to the West' team re-edited episode 2 and rebroadcast it at 11 a.m. on the 17th.
