Prejudices and Frames in Our Society Revealed at International High School, Play 'BEEP: Bipeu'

Opening on December 5 at Daehangno Dream Art Center Hall 3

[Asia Economy Reporter Byunghee Park] The new original play "BEEP: Bipeu," which features international high school students and teachers to address issues of prejudice and framing, will open on December 5 at Dream Art Center Hall 3 in Daehangno and run until February 14 of next year.

"BEEP: Bipeu" is an original play that reflects contemporary society through the story of a small community within a school. It is produced by Jooda Culture, and stars Seungwon Seo, Junhyuk Lee, Seoktae Joo, Jihwi Kim, Seungri Yang, Junghyuk Yoon, Aseok Kim, Woojong Lee, Juyeon Kim, Hyewon Seo, Yujin Yoo, Byunghun, and Gunhyuk Lim.

Seoktae Joo, Seungwon Seo, and Junhyuk Lee play the role of Jung Dongwoo. Jung Dongwoo is an English teacher at an international high school and the advisor of the drama club. Jihwi Kim, Seungri Yang, and Junghyuk Yoon portray Yoon Youngjun, a literature teacher and homeroom teacher.

Juyeon Kim, Hyewon Seo, and Yujin Yoo take on the role of Jin Sehee, who combines intelligence and beauty. Jin Sehee is an honor student who never misses the top spot in the school rankings.

Yujin is a student who insists on having what she wants and cannot tolerate curiosity. The role is played by Aseok Kim and Woojong Lee. Aseok Kim was selected after overcoming a 500:1 audition competition.

The role of Jisoo, a model student sensitive about grades under a strict mother, is played by Byunghun and Gunhyuk Lim.

The play "BEEP: Bipeu" is the debut script of playwright Seungwon Shin. The director is Jiho Kim, who directed this year's "Elephant Song" and "Midnight Antlers."
