Differentiation through Business-Specialized Solutions in Education and Commerce
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Naver Business Platform (NBP) announced on the 15th that it will relaunch as 'Naver Cloud' and lead the expansion of Naver's business-to-business (B2B) operations.
Not only services such as enterprise cloud, artificial intelligence (AI) platforms, and work collaboration tools, but also data and solutions that can be utilized in all businesses, along with all the technologies and services secured by Naver, will be commercialized and provided based on the cloud.
NBP plans to integrate the technologies and know-how applied to various Naver services and solutions into one, creating specialized solutions for each business such as education, commerce, and gaming, aiming to differentiate itself from global competitors.
For example, the concept is to create 'Cloud for Store' based on solutions like Smart Store and PG, or 'Cloud for Education' based on the Whale browser and educational devices.
Park Won-ki, CEO of NBP, said, "From now on, we will segment areas that global players have not deeply addressed and target them one by one to create clear differentiation from them."
NBP introduced the cloud service 'Naver Cloud Platform' to the market in 2017, releasing more than 170 products within three years and maintaining a growth rate of more than double each year. NBP plans to launch a service package early next year that incorporates these technologies and services, usable in various business environments from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to enterprises.
