Gangnam-gu Operates 'Visiting Job Counseling Center' to Support Job Seekers and Career-Interrupted Women

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangnam-gu (District Mayor Jeong Soon-gyun) has been operating a ‘Visiting Job Counseling Center’ on the 2nd floor of the Seoul Gangnam Driver’s License Examination Office since this month to support job seekers such as employment preparation students and women with career interruptions.

The ‘Visiting Job Counseling Center’ is a field-oriented project that directly meets residents looking for jobs and provides various employment services. Professional career counselors offer customized job placement services through one-on-one consultations.

The operating hours are every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and from Wednesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Anyone seeking employment can visit for counseling.

For more details, inquiries can be made to the District Office Job Support Center.

Previously, Gangnam-gu held an ‘Ontact Job Fair’ last month, attended by 33 companies and 12,000 job seekers, providing online video interviews, employment lectures, job consulting, and AI interview experiences to facilitate matching between employers and job seekers.

Seo Won-hee, Director of the Job Policy Division, said, “The ‘Visiting Job Counseling Center’ aims to discover various jobs in the region and provide customized services to job seekers in response to changes in the recruitment market caused by COVID-19,” adding, “We will continue to strive to revitalize the economy and prepare job policies for ‘Gangnam, a future-oriented attractive city.’”
