Kolon Sports Launches Sub-Brand 'Eltex'

Urban Performance Wear Capsule Collection Launch... Official Launch Scheduled for Early Next Year

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Kolon Industries FnC division (hereinafter Kolon FnC) is launching a sub-brand called 'LTEKS' under its outdoor brand Kolon Sports.

LTEKS is an urban performance outdoor brand based on Kolon Sports, especially the Lifetek jacket series. Kolon Sports' Lifetek jackets were developed to protect life in case of distress and have been upgraded annually since their launch in 2006, evolving into smart wear.

Targeting urban dwellers responding to climate change in the city, LTEKS continues the high functionality of the Lifetek jackets while differentiating itself with simple designs and unique silhouettes.

LTEKS products are divided according to function into 'Thermo Defender,' which maximizes warmth, 'Storm Breaker,' which represents windproof performance, and 'Cloud Nine,' characterized by comfortable wearability.

To fully realize these three functions, a partnership was formed with Gore-Tex. Through LTEKS, various high-performance materials developed by Gore-Tex, such as the new Gore-Tex Pro and 3L Wind Breaker, can be experienced. Notably, LTEKS is the first in Korea to use the new Gore-Tex Pro.

The products introduced this time are a capsule collection released ahead of the full launch in the next spring/summer collection. Comprising a total of eight items including jackets, coats, t-shirts, vests, pants, backpacks, caps, and neck warmers, this collection uses only black color.

The color was simplified and details minimized to accurately convey LTEKS's unique brand image. In this way, LTEKS is characterized by expressing differentiated high-performance materials through everyday designs.

LTEKS Creative Director Jaesang Lee stated, “Ordinary people living in cities today are also facing the issue of climate change. LTEKS can be described as a brand for fashionable responses to these diverse environments. We will show through LTEKS that not only high-performance outdoor products for climbing derived from Lifetek jackets but also items that can be enjoyed in everyday life are possible.”

Meanwhile, LTEKS will operate a customer experience exhibition on the first floor of the Hongdae Rise Hotel for about two months starting today, and plans to open in domestic select shops within the year.
