[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Uplus announced on the 14th that it will collaborate with HancomWITH, which operates the senior day care center 'Hancom Mallangmallang Happiness Care,' and LG Electronics for the digital senior care business.

At Hancom Mallangmallang Happiness Care, which HancomWITH started in July, programs utilizing virtual reality (VR) for cognitive training and dementia prevention developed with medical specialists, as well as interactive artificial intelligence robot programs, are provided. Additionally, smart healthcare services using advanced ICT technologies such as wearable-based vital checks and location tracking functions will also be offered.

LG Uplus plans to supply communication infrastructure products such as internet, IPTV, and CCTV to the 'Hancom Mallangmallang Happiness Care' center, along with various Internet of Things (IoT) devices and services. In the future, they will jointly develop curriculum programs and digital senior care content such as AR and VR operated at the center, and expand health management service businesses based on customers' life log data.

LG Electronics will supply products such as home appliances, IT devices, and system air conditioners to the Hancom Mallangmallang Happiness Care center and promote collaboration on various solution-related projects.

Park Jong-wook, Executive Vice President and CSO of LG Uplus, said, "We will develop services to help senior customers, who are digitally marginalized, live healthily with the help of ICT, and in the future, we will expand various senior care-related businesses based on senior customers' life log data."
