Gwangju Veterans Office - Seogu Youth Culture House 'Ahn Jung-geun Statue' Agreement

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The head of the Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director Im Seonghyeon) announced on the 13th that a joint agreement was signed with the Seo-gu Youth Culture House (Director Seol Sangsuk) for the care of the ‘Statue of Ahn Junggeun,’ a national veterans memorial facility designated by the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, located in Sangmu Citizens' Park.

Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate to promote youth patriotism education projects linked to the ‘Statue of Ahn Junggeun.’

Besides the agreed facilities, other memorial sites honoring independence activist Ahn Junggeun in Gwangju include the ‘Statue of Ahn Junggeun’ and the ‘Monument to Ahn Junggeun’ located in Jungoe Park.
