Special Event Including Presentation of Commemorative Gifts to First Visitors After Reopening
[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it resumed the viewing of the Goheung Buncheong Culture Museum, which had been temporarily closed to prevent the spread of COVID-19, on the 13th.
The Goheung Buncheong Culture Museum, the largest Buncheong ware specialized museum in the country, was temporarily closed on August 22 due to the spread of COVID-19, but it reopened following the phased resumption of social distancing measures along with necessary infection prevention actions.
To prevent infectious diseases, museum visits are limited to individual simple exhibition viewing without exhibition explanations or group tours. Visitors must comply with quarantine guidelines such as wearing masks, filling out entry logs, and maintaining a distance of at least 2 meters, provided they have no fever or respiratory symptoms.
Ending the long temporary closure, the Goheung Buncheong Culture Museum held a special event to commemorate the reopening by presenting a small souvenir and expressing a warm welcome to the first official visitors after reopening, a group including Mr. S residing in Jeomam-myeon, Goheung.
A county official stated, “During the closure period, we prepared facility improvements, a special exhibition on Goheung dolmens, and various cultural and experiential events. We will do our best to manage quarantine so that visitors can safely enjoy the museum facilities at any time.”
Meanwhile, Goheung-gun expects that this reopening will partially relieve the cultural thirst of residents and visitors who have been unable to enjoy cultural activities due to the impact of COVID-19.
