On that day, the KOSPI closed at 2403.15, down 0.58 points (0.02%) from the previous trading day. The KOSPI opened at 2416.85, up 13.12 points (0.55%) from the previous session.
By investor type, individuals and institutions sold stocks worth 33.1 billion KRW and 172.3 billion KRW respectively. Foreigners bought stocks worth 208.2 billion KRW.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics rose 0.83% from the previous session to 60,900 KRW. SK Hynix (3.16%), NAVER (1.03%), and Samsung Biologics (0.56%) also increased. On the other hand, LG Chem (-4.17%), Hyundai Motor (-0.56%), and Celltrion (-1.10%) declined.
The KOSDAQ index closed at 871.92, down 1.58 points (0.18%) from the previous session. The index opened at 878.15, up 4.65 points (0.53%) from the previous session.
By investor type, individuals were the sole net buyers with purchases worth 135.7 billion KRW. Conversely, foreigners and institutions sold stocks worth 59.9 billion KRW and 42.9 billion KRW respectively.
Among the top market capitalization stocks in the KOSDAQ market, most declined except for Alteogen (2.11%), Kakao Games (0.10%), and Pearl Abyss (0.33%). Meanwhile, Celltrion Healthcare (-0.87%) and Seegene (-3.02%) fell.
