[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] The YouTube content 'Gajja Sanai 2' is facing the risk of cancellation following controversies over its sadistic nature and the revelation of cast members' past sexual offenses. Particularly, Captain Lee Geun, who gained the most attention through 'Gajja Sanai' Season 1 by popularizing catchphrases like 'Do you have a personality problem?' and '○○ is an individualist,' is embroiled in controversies over debt issues, alleged fake credentials, and a history of sexual assault punishment. Subsequently, Logan and Jung Eunju have also been caught up in sexual scandal allegations, predicting a significant fallout.

Kim Yongho, a former entertainment reporter turned YouTuber who runs the channel 'Kim Yongho Entertainment Chief,' claimed on the 12th on his channel that "Lee Geun is a sex offender," releasing materials presumed to be records of a sexual assault case dismissed by the Supreme Court.

In response to these revelations, former Captain Lee Geun admitted to being punished for a past sexual assault but expressed his innocence. On the morning of the 13th, he stated on his YouTube channel, "I was punished in 2018 for a sexual assault incident at a club," adding, "I was prosecuted for grabbing a woman's buttocks, fined 2 million won in a summary trial, and my appeal was dismissed."

He further said, "I clearly did not commit any assault," and explained, "The victim's consistent testimony was accepted as evidence leading to a guilty verdict. 'Witness 1' mentioned in the judgment is the woman's boyfriend, who did not witness the incident directly but testified based on the woman's reaction."

He continued, "There were three CCTV cameras at the time, and evidence showed I did not commit the assault, but the victim's consistent testimony was the sole evidence for the verdict," adding, "I had no choice but to accept the court's judgment, but I feel extremely wronged in my conscience and cannot accept it; it is regrettable and dreadful."

The controversies surrounding the 'Gajja Sanai' cast do not end there. Logan (real name Kim Junyoung) and Jung Eunju have been embroiled in allegations of visiting illegal adult entertainment establishments.

YouTuber Jung Baewoo announced on the 13th that he would reveal expos?s about 'Gajja Sanai 2' instructors Logan and Jung Eunju. Jung Baewoo stated on his YouTube channel community, "Reports about the 'Gajja Sanai 2' instructors are pouring in," and "Tomorrow evening's upload will cover incidents involving Kim Junyoung (Logan) and Jung Eunju."

Jung Baewoo said, "The evidence check is complete," explaining, "In summary, the two frequently visited illegal adult entertainment establishments. They were involved in activities like the notorious Soranet invitation man from old news."

He added, "An ex-girlfriend of one of them, who dated for a year and a half, provided the tip. There is no lie, and to gain trust, she requested to reveal her ID, face photo, and age in a video," noting, "She is a civilian but seems very angry."

Jung Baewoo continued, "People like this appear once or twice a year at most. She said these are memories she wants to forget but has been stressed by continuous broadcasts," and "I just finished the interview shoot and am editing. I have contacted Logan and Jung Eunju to hear their side and cross-check, but there has been no response."

Moreover, public criticism has intensified as sadistic situations involving the cast were staged earlier.

On the 10th, KakaoTV released episode 4 of 'Gajja Sanai 2.' The episode depicted six surviving trainees undergoing running and IBS training. Instructors confronted trainee Kwak Yoonki, who was determined to complete the training, saying, "Your actions caused harm to your comrades," and staged a dangerous scene by pressing down on Kwak and others under the training boat with their hands.

The episode sparked controversy over its intense training and the instructors' behavior toward Kwak, leading to accusations of sadism.

As controversy over Kwak's dismissal continued, Physical Gallery, the production team, apologized, stating, "The scenes where instructors strongly reprimand Yoonki's dangerous behavior were edited to appear one-sided. Understanding the context required knowledge of the edited content, so this was entirely an editorial misjudgment. We sincerely apologize for causing misunderstandings."

Regarding the instructors' conduct, they added, "If anyone felt uncomfortable with the firm expressions used to show the instructors' strictness, we apologize. Instructor Jake also personally apologized to Minsu. Regardless of the facts, we are sorry for causing discomfort."

Currently, the 'Gajja Sanai 2' production team has not issued an official statement regarding the upload of episode 5.

Meanwhile, 'Gajja Sanai,' a parody of MBC's variety show 'Real Man,' is a web variety show by the 3 million-subscriber fitness YouTube channel Physical Gallery. It was planned and produced mainly by Kim Gyeran, a former UDT member leading Physical Gallery. 'Gajja Sanai 2' features many celebrities, including short track speed skater Kwak Yoonki, actor Julien Kang, and former soccer player Kim Byungji, enduring extreme training.
