[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongnam Provincial Library announced on the 13th that it will hold “non-face-to-face online live special lectures” on the themes of “Parent Education” and “Reading Methods” on the 18th and 25th to promote cultural and reading activities for residents.
The first lecture on the 18th will be a parent education special lecture titled “Self-Esteem Communication Methods for Communicating with Children,” featuring Dr. Lim Young-joo as the guest speaker.
The second lecture on the 25th will be a reading method special lecture titled “One Book a Day, One Thousand Books Reading Method That Changes Life,” featuring author Jeon Anna as the guest speaker.
This special lecture will be conducted as a non-face-to-face class using Zoom, allowing participants to communicate with experts in real time via PC or smartphone regardless of location. Anyone can easily participate without a separate registration process.
The Provincial Library is accepting participants on a first-come, first-served basis via its website and phone, and the access address and usage instructions will be provided via text message. Detailed information can be found on the Gyeongnam Provincial Library website.
Director Jeong Yeon-du said, “As COVID-19 prolongs and outdoor activities are restricted, we plan to expand non-face-to-face services so that residents can participate in reading culture activities,” and added, “We hope for the residents’ great interest and participation.”
Meanwhile, since last September, the Gyeongnam Provincial Library has been operating the “Humanities Reading Academy” as a non-face-to-face course and continues to provide safe non-face-to-face reading culture services such as the online integrated digital library, book walking through, smart library, and unmanned return machines.
