GS Home Shopping Provides 'Untact' Quality Inspection Service for Partners

[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] GS Home Shopping announced on the 13th that it will provide an untact (contactless) quality inspection guide to support partner companies struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).


The kickoff meeting (the first official meeting) for TV home shopping product sales will be held as a video conference using the video conferencing platform 'Zoom' instead of an in-person meeting. The delivery of supporting documents before the broadcast sales will also be conducted untact. Previously, physical materials were delivered, but now products can be registered and documents uploaded through GS Home Shopping’s partner system 'WithNet,' which allows product management.


Additionally, if direct visits are difficult due to COVID-19, local inspections of product production sites and delivery checks can be conducted using a remote system. When packaging the TV home shopping broadcast volume, photos must be submitted, and partners can access the survey provided by the GS Home Shopping Quality Research Team to check the remote inspection schedule and perform self-inspections by item.


Post-sales management after broadcast sales is also possible untact. If partners inquire about data they want to know, the GS Home Shopping Quality Research Team provides customized reports based on in-depth data analysis. Overall sales data such as return rates, defect rates, and product reviews can be extracted.


Meanwhile, GS Home Shopping has been offering free quality inspection services since September this year for partners unable to conduct local overseas inspections due to COVID-19. Through agreements with local inspection agencies in major production countries of partners such as China, Vietnam, and Indonesia, the company evaluates overseas manufacturers and provides product inspection services. So far, overseas quality inspection services have been conducted locally in countries including Italy, Vietnam, and China.


Joo Unseok, Executive Director of GS Home Shopping’s Communications Headquarters, stated, “GS Home Shopping is providing step-by-step non-face-to-face work guides for partners facing difficulties with face-to-face work due to COVID-19,” and added, “We will help partners manage quality more thoroughly by offering new experiences they can truly feel.”
