[Asia Economy Reporter Nah Han-ah] Former Liberty Korea Party (now People Power Party) lawmaker Na Kyung-won has filed a lawsuit against Ahn Jin-geol, head of the Minsheng Economy Research Institute, who has repeatedly raised suspicions of her children's admission corruption, criticizing that "they dismiss anything unfavorable to them as if it never happened," and once again expressed her position.
On the 10th, former lawmaker Na wrote on her Facebook, "They have repeatedly filed countless complaints against me, spreading false information and damaging my reputation," starting off with this statement.
She said, "Mr. Ahn Jin-geol has filed complaints against me 13 times, and his claim is that 'he did not assert it was illegal but rather claimed there was corruption and urged the prosecution to investigate,'" adding, "I was truly astonished when I read his position revealed in the written investigation through an article."
While criticizing Mr. Ahn, former lawmaker Na also pointed out the ruling party's 'playing along.' She said, "Worse than Mr. Ahn Jin-geol is the ruling party. They are excitedly playing along with these planned complaints. It is utterly pathetic."
She further criticized, "Minister Choo Mi-ae's prosecution reform is truly perfect. From recent election law violation cases involving ruling party lawmakers to cases related to Minister Choo Mi-ae and other ruling party figures, and the Optimus and Lime incidents that caused numerous victims, absurd things keep repeating."
She also mentioned rumors related to Mr. Ahn, saying, "Coincidentally, Mr. Ahn Jin-geol and a current senior official at the Ministry of Justice graduated from the same high school, and their relationship is something or other," expressing her frustration.
Meanwhile, on the 9th, Mr. Ahn said on his Facebook, "Na Kyung-won of the People Power Party has been repeatedly filing civil lawsuits against investigative reporters and civil society, as well as criminal complaints against netizens, and now even filed a lawsuit against MBC investigative reporter Seo Yoo-jung."
Mr. Ahn pointed out, "If Representative Park Deok-heum is the biggest and worst conflict of interest and preferential contract since Dangun, then former floor leader Na Kyung-won of the People Power Party is the worst shamelessness and audacity since Dangun."
Targeting Park Deok-heum, Cho Soo-jin, Koo Ja-geun, and Na Kyung-won, Mr. Ahn fiercely criticized, "Their corruption and shameless lies are the true nature of the People Power Party, and our people will severely judge such behavior."
