[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Moon Joon-yong, son of President Moon Jae-in, who had a verbal exchange regarding the adoption of witnesses for the National Assembly audit, apologized to Gwak Sang-do, a member of the People Power Party.

On the 10th, Moon Joon-yong posted on his SNS, "Assemblyman Gwak Sang-do, I was mistaken about some parts. I apologize," adding, "The chairman of Konkuk University was summoned as a witness by another assemblyman."

He continued, "Let's continue to play fair in the future."

Earlier, on the 8th, Moon had posted on his SNS, "Assemblyman Gwak Sang-do summoned the chairman of the university where I am a part-time lecturer to the National Assembly audit," and criticized, "Gwak Sang-do is harming people through habitual and reckless abuse of power. Gwak Sang-do is bad."

However, it was revealed that the person who summoned the university chairman to the audit was not Assemblyman Gwak but a ruling party member. On the 9th, Gwak clarified through his SNS that he only requested the evaluation materials of Moon's part-time lecturer position while the chairman was present, drawing a clear line.

He further explained that since the Part-time Lecturer Act was enforced in August last year, many university lecturers lost their positions, but Moon's courses rather doubled, which seemed suspicious. He stated, "I requested the materials to verify whether the increase in courses, unlike others, was due to 'dad's chance' or because of being evaluated as a good lecture."

Additionally, he asked, "Is it uncomfortable that an opposition party assemblyman checks one by one while the president's son is enjoying dad's chance?" and strongly criticized, "When President Moon's term ends, even that will end, so I hope you will restrain yourself until then."

In response, Kim Nam-guk, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, also joined in criticizing Assemblyman Gwak, leading to another verbal exchange.
