[Asia Economy Reporter Hana Na] Kim Seong-hoe, spokesperson for the Open Democratic Party, rebutted former lawmaker Geum Tae-seop, who criticized Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Yong-min's lawsuit against former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon, saying, "Even now, everyone who wants to call him 'Munjaang' does so."

Spokesperson Kim responded to Lawmaker Geum's comment on Kim's lawsuit against former professor Jin, stating, "I want to live in a country where I can call former President Lee Myung-bak 'Jwibaki' and former President Park Geun-hye 'Dakkunhye' without worrying about lawsuits. Calling President Moon Jae-in 'Munjaang' is the same."

On the 8th, Spokesperson Kim said on his Facebook, "Lawmaker Geum Tae-seop, even now many people (including lawmaker Hong Joon-pyo) shout 'Munjaang' without hesitation."

He added, "They make posters, write articles, and shout it out. (Nevertheless) no one gets arrested, and no one is punished," and rebutted, "Since you can call the president 'Munjaang,' isn't this democracy?"

He continued, "The Kim Yong-min?Jin Joong-kwon dispute is a response to Jin Joong-kwon's slander suggesting that Kim Yong-min is connected to Lime without any basis."

Meanwhile, Lawmaker Kim sued former professor Jin, who called him a 'Jo Guk follower,' claiming, "If you use insulting language without reasonable grounds, you must naturally take responsibility." In response, Lawmaker Geum criticized, saying, "The most frequently used weapon to suppress freedom of expression and criticism is the 'example lawsuit.'"
