Golden Holiday Begins... Lotte Outlet Offers Discounts and Events

New Balance, Fila, Women's Fashion and More Up to 80% Off
Various Events Held for Halloween Season

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Lotte Department Store will hold various events, including up to 80% discounts on products at suburban outlets, from the 9th to the 11th during the golden holiday period.

According to Lotte Department Store on the 8th, the golden holiday is a period when public holidays and weekends are consecutive, resulting in at least three days off, attracting many family outing customers and creating a sales boom in the distribution industry. During the golden holiday in August (August 14 to August 17), Lotte Department Store’s sales increased by 16% compared to the same period last year. In particular, suburban outlets saw a 25% increase. Recently, during the Chuseok holiday (October 2 to October 4), overall sales grew by 4%, while suburban outlet sales surged by 58%.

As many customers are expected to visit outlets during this week’s golden holiday period, Lotte Outlet plans to thoroughly implement quarantine measures and offer a variety of events and activities for customers to enjoy.

At Lotte Premium Outlet Giheung branch, a special sale on New Balance off-season products, a popular sports brand, will be held. New Balance sneakers will be sold for 29,000 KRW and 39,000 KRW, and sweatshirts will be offered at a uniform price of 49,000 KRW. Considering the outlet’s characteristic of many customers accompanied by pets, a flea market called “Find the Treasure” selling pet and cat-related items such as snacks and fancy goods will also be held for three days during the holiday.

At the Icheon branch, a four-season product exhibition will be held featuring women’s fashion brands Duel, Juke, and CC Collect. Off-season items such as coats and long padding will be sold at up to 80% discounts. Representative products include a Duel jacket for 109,000 KRW, a Juke coat for 79,000 KRW, and a CC Collect dress for 59,000 KRW.

Additionally, a clearance sale for the sports brand Fila is prepared, offering up to 90% discounts on down jackets, fleece, T-shirts, and sneakers. Ahead of the kimchi-making season, the refurbished goods specialty store “Alland” will sell kimchi refrigerators at 40-50% off the regular price.

Especially during this holiday, various Halloween-themed events have been prepared in anticipation of the upcoming Halloween season.

At Premium Outlet Paju branch, a Halloween photo zone will be set up, and an event renting Halloween costumes will be held. Customers who take photos at the photo zone and verify them on social networking services (SNS) will receive a thank-you gift. Also, children visiting in costume will be given a “pumpkin basket filled with chocolates” in limited quantities each day.

At the Giheung branch, along with the Halloween photo zone, a Halloween parade will be held every Saturday at 2, 4, and 6 p.m., and distinctive events such as street busking and children’s character puppet shows will be held at different times.
