40-Year-Old Office Worker Charged for Filming Sexual Activity Using Drone Near High-Rise Apartment Window


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A man in his 40s, Mr. A, who flew a drone by the window of a high-rise apartment to film residents' sexual intercourse videos, has had an arrest warrant issued against him.


According to the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency on the 7th, a 112 report was received on September 19 at 3:05 a.m. stating that a drone had fallen on an apartment terrace.


The police who arrived at the scene confirmed illegally filmed footage on the drone. Mr. A, who was searching for the fallen drone, fled upon seeing the police at the scene.


The Women and Youth Investigation Team of the Busan Nambu Police Station tracked down the drone owner and arrested Mr. A and Mr. B (male), who was an accomplice in the crime, on the 4th. Mr. A is known to be an ordinary office worker.


The police are pursuing additional charges through forensic analysis of Mr. A's seized mobile phone and computer, and have applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A, while Mr. B is under investigation without detention.


The Busan Eastern District Prosecutors' Office filed an arrest warrant request against Mr. A on the 6th for violating the Special Act on Sexual Violence Punishment (filming using a camera, etc.).
