The Rapid Response Brigade Establishment Preparation Unit is the establishment preparation unit of a newly formed unit in 2021, which was previously affiliated with the Army 2nd Division, with which Dongkuk Steel had an existing sisterhood relationship.
Dongkuk Steel began its relationship with the military in 1984. Union Steel, which merged into Dongkuk Steel, established a sisterhood with the 2nd Division in 1984 and has continuously maintained exchanges by visiting the unit annually to deliver consolation goods and funds.
Jang Se-wook, Vice Chairman of Dongkuk Steel, said, “Even as a new unit is established, let us continue the relationship with Dongkuk Steel,” adding, “Let us quickly overcome COVID-19 and create opportunities for communication between the military and companies in various ways.”
