From October 7, 8-Week Online Regional Talent Joint Recruitment Fair Held

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 6th that it will hold the ‘2020 Innovation City Relocated Public Institutions Regional Talent Joint Recruitment Briefing’ online.

The regional talent joint recruitment briefing has been held since 2012, providing job seekers who want to work at public institutions with motivation and useful recruitment information, greatly helping Gyeongnam regional talents to gain employment at public institutions relocated to Gyeongnam Innovation City. Last year, about 3,000 participants including high school and university students from Gyeongnam and job seekers aiming for public institution employment took part.

For the online joint recruitment briefing, a website will be launched on October 7, and those wishing to participate can access the website until November 30 to use various public institution recruitment contents.

This year’s joint recruitment briefing has increased the number of participating public institutions to 102 due to being held online, unlike previous years. Until last year, only 10 relocated public institutions located in Gyeongnam Innovation City participated in the event.

The event period will also be significantly extended. While the event lasted only one day when held in person until last year, this year it will be held for 8 weeks from October 7 to November 30, taking advantage of the online format.

Park Jeong-jun, Director of the Western Region Development Bureau of Gyeongsangnam-do, said, “The three core tasks of Gyeongsangnam-do’s provincial administration are Youth Special Province, Education and Talent Special Province, and Innovation and Growth. The regional talent joint recruitment briefing is an important event that can help young talents in Gyeongnam get jobs at public institutions relocated to Gyeongnam Innovation City,” adding, “I hope the online briefing will bring them one step closer to employment.”
