[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Captain Lee Geun clarified the controversy regarding his debt dispute, but Mr. A, who raised the allegations, rebutted this with a recorded transcript as evidence.

On the 3rd, Mr. A posted a lengthy statement on his Instagram refuting Captain Lee Geun's explanation video about the debt dispute. Mr. A began by saying, "I agreed to receive a sincere apology and the principal amount of 2 million won, and was told to take down the post while an apology video was being made, so I temporarily removed it, but the explanation video contains many falsehoods."

He continued, "They claim to have given in-kind compensation through skydiving training and equipment, but I never received any," and questioned, "When did I receive cash, and when did I get the skydiving equipment?"

Regarding why Captain Lee Geun's fans asked why the account was not seized at the time, Mr. A revealed, "It’s not that I didn’t seize it; I seized one account that I knew of. However, there was no balance, and after that, I didn’t know what to do next. I lacked knowledge to the extent that I had to ask court staff one by one about how to proceed with the lawsuit."

He also stated, "After quitting skydiving, we spoke on October 27, 2015, and later made a recorded transcript of that call. In this conversation, it was promised that 2 million won would be repaid on November 1. The 2 million won amount never included interest," adding, "Then, I sent a text message on November 3, 2015, and called on December 1, but there was no answer. I waited for the deposit but there was no further contact. That’s the end of it," expressing his frustration.

Mr. A addressed some netizens who continuously sent messages and evaluated his appearance based on his personal information, asking, "Please refrain from nitpicking unrelated to the core issue."

Meanwhile, on the morning of the 3rd, Captain Lee Geun explained the 2 million won 'debt dispute' controversy surrounding him, saying, "I borrowed an amount less than 2 million won and repaid it relatively quickly. I did not repay all in cash; by mutual agreement, I handed over between 1 million and 1.5 million won in cash directly, gave the skydiving equipment that the person really wanted, and repaid through skydiving training. That person is well aware of these facts. This is a clear truth."
