President Moon: "I will definitely restore ordinary and precious days" President Moon Jae-in and First Lady Kim Jung-sook are delivering Chuseok greetings to the public in front of Sangchunjae at the Blue House.


President Moon Jae-in stated on the 1st, during Chuseok, "We will surely restore the ordinary and precious days to our proud citizens who have endured hardships."


President Moon made this statement while posting a message on social media expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore. Prime Minister Lee recently mentioned Korea's holiday Chuseok and introduced traditional Korean lanterns.


Earlier, on the 25th of last month, Prime Minister Lee posted on his Facebook about the traditional lantern exhibition "A Royal Walk," made of hanji paper, held locally by the Embassy of Korea in Singapore, and introduced the Chuseok holiday, sharing photos of the lanterns taken at the exhibition.


At that time, Prime Minister Lee said, "Hallyu fans will welcome this exhibition inspired by Korean culture," and added, "It might take some time before visiting Korea, so events like this are meaningful."


President Moon shared Prime Minister Lee's Facebook post on his own Facebook, writing, "I thank Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for introducing Korea's holiday, Chuseok, and Hallyu."


President Moon said, "People around the world are enduring the COVID-19 era in various ways," and added, "Although distances are far in the COVID-19 era, I feel once again that our hearts are close."


He then added, "Wishing you a warm and heartfelt Chuseok."


President Moon also included a link to the Embassy of Korea in Singapore's Facebook post containing photos of the traditional lanterns.
