On Chuseok Day, a man in his 40s and his mother found dead with bleeding wounds... Police launch investigation

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] On Chuseok day, an incident occurred where a mother in her 60s and her son in his 40s were found bleeding and dead, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

According to the Namyangju Police Station in Gyeonggi Province, at around 11:05 a.m. on the 1st, a 119 emergency call was received reporting that a woman in her 60s was lying on the street in Namyangju City, bleeding.

The woman was transported to a hospital by the fire department but was pronounced dead.

Police who responded to the call discovered a man in his 40s, bleeding and collapsed, dead at a residence several dozen meters from the scene, along with a weapon.

The two were confirmed to be mother and son.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances, believing that the son visited his mother, who usually lived alone, for Chuseok when the incident occurred.

Additionally, to determine the cause of death, the bodies of the mother and son will be sent to the National Forensic Service for autopsy.
