[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] During the Chuseok holiday, emergency medical institutions nationwide will maintain a 24-hour treatment system as usual.

The government announced on the 30th that during the Chuseok holiday, not only COVID-19 testing and treatment but also 513 emergency room operating institutions will operate 24 hours a day.

In preparation for a surge in testing demand due to COVID-19 cluster infections, emergency support teams will be formed by region, and temporary screening clinics will be operated if necessary. However, operating hours may vary by screening clinic, so visitors should check before visiting.

Ambulances and paramedics will be on emergency standby to promptly dispatch and transport emergency patients or confirmed/suspected COVID-19 patients.

Information on medical institutions, pharmacies, and screening clinics open during the Chuseok holiday can be obtained through the Health and Welfare Call Center (129), Emergency Situation Management Center (119), and city/province call centers (120).

By searching "Myeongjeol Hospital" on internet portal sites, the Emergency Medical Portal appears for immediate use. It is possible to search for emergency rooms, open hospitals, pharmacies, etc., by region.
