Yongin City announced on the 30th that Mr. A, a surgeon in his 30s at Yongin Severance Hospital, experienced muscle pain and sore throat symptoms on the 28th, underwent a COVID-19 test at the hospital's screening clinic, and was confirmed positive around 11:30 PM on the 29th.
The source of Mr. A's infection has not yet been identified.
On the same day, Yongin Severance Hospital held an emergency countermeasure meeting chaired by the hospital director, deciding to temporarily suspend the operating room and emergency room operations and to cohort isolate the surgical ward.
