The Blue House stated, "On the afternoon of the 29th, an NSC Standing Committee meeting was held, presided over by National Security Office Director Suh Hoon. The standing committee members once again expressed their deep condolences for our citizen who died in the West Sea, and while continuing efforts to accurately verify the facts related to the incident, they also agreed to continue information cooperation with neighboring countries."
The Blue House added, "We inspected the ongoing search activities conducted jointly by related ministries and agencies, and decided to thoroughly continue the search activities while ensuring maritime safety and maintaining surveillance posture." It also stated, "The standing committee members discussed strengthening response measures to prevent incidents and promptly handle cases of missing persons in border waters and areas."
Meanwhile, Kang Min-seok, the Blue House spokesperson, clarified that reports claiming that our military was listening to North Korean communications are not true.
