Gachon University Early Admission Competition Rate 17.6 to 1

[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gachon University announced on the 29th that the application results for the '2021 Academic Year Early Admission' which closed on the 28th showed an average competition rate of 17.6 to 1, with 52,312 applicants competing for 2,974 spots.

By department, the Acting Major in the Department of Performing Arts, under the Practical Excellence Admission, recorded the highest competition rate of 78.1 to 1, with 1,562 applicants for 20 spots.

In the Aptitude Excellence Admission, the Department of Physical Therapy showed a competition rate of 65.6 to 1, the Department of Emergency Medical Services 47 to 1, the Department of Nursing (Natural Sciences) 40.4 to 1, and the Department of Nursing (Humanities) 40 to 1, all demonstrating high competition rates.

Looking at the main admission types, the Comprehensive Student Record Gachon Medical Admission recorded the highest competition rate at 26.9 to 1. Additionally, the Aptitude Excellence Admission had 26,811 applicants for 1,063 spots, resulting in a 25.2 to 1 competition rate. The Student Record Excellence Admission had 6,608 applicants for 442 spots, a 15 to 1 rate, and the Gachon Baramgae-bi 1 Admission had 5,480 applicants for 427 spots, showing a 12.8 to 1 competition rate.

In early admission, the Department of Medicine, which selects 25 students, recorded a competition rate of 33.3 to 1 for the Gachon Medical Admission (20 spots) and 25.8 to 1 for the Student Record Excellence Admission (5 spots).

The Department of Korean Medicine showed competition rates of 15.2 to 1 for the Gachon Medical Admission (11 spots), 33.4 to 1 for the Student Record Excellence Admission (5 spots), and 22 to 1 for the Rural Area Admission (1 spot).

The early admission aptitude test is scheduled for December 13.

Early admission successful candidates will be announced on November 26 for admissions announced before the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) day, and on December 27 for those announced after the CSAT day.
