Hutech Massage Chair ES9 Black Equipped with Both 'Pinch Prevention System' and 'Child Lock' Functions
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Hutech Industry announced on the 29th that it will provide free safety function update services for customer safety. A Hutech representative explained, "Although there have been no cases of physical entrapment accidents among customers, we are proactively implementing firmware updates to enhance the prevention of safety accidents."
The firmware update applies to fully automatic leg length adjustment massage chairs, including a total of 12 models such as discontinued products HT-9840 and HT-M310. Additionally, eight Hutech massage chair models, including HT-K01A and HT-K02A, will apply the 'anti-entrapment safety system' and 'child lock' functions and plan to produce and sell them starting in October. New products to be released will also feature enhanced safety functions.
Hutech's anti-entrapment system is equipped with safety detection switches located at the leg unit position and the lower rear of the backrest, which detect the body or other obstacles during massage operation or termination and stop the operation. The most recently released Hutech ES9 Black includes a 'child lock' function that requires pressing the power button for more than 3 seconds to operate the massage chair.
A Hutech representative said, "Since customer safety is our top priority, we have not only applied the safety system but also separately attached cautionary notices on the remote control, labels, and the side panels of the massage chairs," adding, "We are helping consumers properly understand through guidance materials at Hutech direct showrooms and all stores including Lotte Hi-Mart."
