KT Launches GigaEyes ForceView Service

KT Launches GigaEyes ForceView Service

[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT announced on the 29th that it will launch the ‘GigaEyes POSView’ service, which links the intelligent video security solution ‘GigaEyes’ with the in-store sales information management system POS. KT GigaEyes is a network-based intelligent video security solution.

‘POSView’ is an additional service linked with POS devices by GigaEyes, allowing simultaneous viewing of CCTV footage and transaction details on the POS screen. It enables quick resolution by checking the CCTV footage connected to the transaction details on the POS screen when disputes or losses occur in stores, such as ▲uncollected change, ▲payment errors, ▲item loss, ▲sales omission, ▲inventory errors, and ▲embezzlement.

For example, POSView allows verification of the situation before and after a specific transaction time through video, enabling quick confirmation of payment cancellations or re-payments. Additionally, all videos of the entire payment list can be viewed via POSView, preventing sales omissions caused by embezzlement. It is especially effective in stores where payments are mainly made in cash, stores employing multiple clerks, or stores using multiple POS devices.

The recorded store POSView videos can be accessed anytime and anywhere not only in the store but also through the GigaEyes mobile app.

POSView requires the installation of GigaEyes, and it can be used immediately by installing separate software on the POS equipment used by customers. The usage fee is 12,100 KRW (VAT included) per POS terminal, and additional installation fees are 11,000 KRW (VAT included) per device. Service subscription or inquiries can be made through the KT customer center at 100.

Moon Sung-ok, Head of KT Corporate New Business Division, said, “KT GigaEyes POSView is a service launched with the customer’s desire for quick resolution of in-store disputes in mind,” adding, “KT GigaEyes will continue to discover innovative services that can minimize customer inconvenience in the future.”
