GS25 Offers Franchise Fee Discounts for National Veterans and Disabled Entrepreneurs

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] Convenience store GS25 is offering startup cost discounts to national veterans and people with disabilities.

GS25 announced on the 29th that starting next month, those who hold a certificate of national veteran or disability and open a GS25 franchise in their own name will receive a 1 million KRW discount on the 7 million KRW franchise fee.

This measure by GS25 is to provide preferential treatment to national veterans and to practice coexistence with socially vulnerable groups in an environment where starting a business has become difficult due to COVID-19.

GS25 explained, "Since last month, we have been holding dedicated startup briefings and consultations for national veterans residing in Chungnam and Daejeon Metropolitan City in cooperation with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, and we are expanding this meaningful coexistence support nationwide."

Since 2019, GS25 has been working with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs on various activities such as a lunchbox sticker campaign to promote independence activists, historical tours of the Provisional Government with 100 customers, and support for descendants of independence activists.
