Galaxy Fit2 with Larger Screen and Battery Launches in the UK... Domestic Release in Q4

[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samsung Electronics has launched its smart band, the Galaxy Fit2. The battery capacity has more than doubled, and the display size has also increased compared to the previous model.

On the 28th (local time), Samsung Electronics began pre-orders for the Galaxy Fit2 in the UK. The price is set at 49 pounds (approximately 74,000 KRW), and the domestic retail price is expected to be around 60,000 KRW. It is scheduled to be released in the domestic market in the fourth quarter.

The Galaxy Fit2 has a battery capacity of 159mAh, allowing usage for 15 days up to a maximum of 3 weeks on a single charge. The previous model lasted about a week, and the capacity is larger even compared to the competitor Fitbit Inspire 2. It features a 1.1-inch AMOLED display, larger than the Galaxy Fit's 0.95-inch screen, and offers more than 70 watch modes.

The Galaxy Fit2 is equipped with an accelerometer and gyroscope sensors to measure calorie consumption, heart rate, distance traveled, and sleep patterns, and it supports five exercise tracking functions including running and walking. It has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. To help prevent infectious diseases, it also includes a feature that regularly reminds users to wash their hands. It can be used in conjunction with iPhones as well as Android devices. Smartphone music control and notification reply functions are also provided.
