[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] On the 29th, the Korea Public Institution Audit Association announced that it visited the social welfare corporation Songjukwon in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul on the 28th and delivered a donation of 3 million won.
The association's executive team stated that the donation ceremony was held as part of sharing activities for Chuseok.
Songjukwon was established in 1946 by Mrs. Park Hyunsuk, who was part of the independence movement under the name 'Songjukgyeolsadae,' to protect and nurture underprivileged students and children.
It is an institution that helps children and adolescents under the age of 18 grow into healthy members of society. Currently, 44 residents live there.
The donation ceremony was attended by Chairman Seong Sikkyung, Standing Auditor of Korea East-West Power, along with Kang Raegu, Standing Auditor of Korea Water Resources Corporation, Lim Sangkyung, Standing Auditor of Korea Energy Agency, Kim Yongbeom, Standing Auditor of Korea National Railway Corporation, and Bae Oesuk, Standing Auditor of Private School Teachers' Pension Corporation, who delivered the 3 million won donation.
Chairman Seong emphasized, "Continuous social interest is necessary so that the young saplings, who are the hope of our country, can grow into future leaders regardless of their environment," and added, "We will continue our social contribution activities for a society where everyone lives well together."
