[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) is holding the "Jungnang Symbolic Tourism Souvenir Contest" open to the entire nation until October 6.

This contest was prepared to promote Jungnang's history, culture, and tourism resources through unique souvenirs symbolizing Jungnang-gu.

The contest categories are divided into two sections: products and ideas. Entries can include manufactured goods, crafts, fashion accessories, etc., that have characteristics or symbolism representing Jungnang. However, the product category requires finished products with a production cost of 20,000 KRW or less, and the idea category requires ideas (designs) with a production cost of 100,000 KRW or less.

To submit works, applicants must fill out and register the application form, work description, and planning documents on the Jungnang-gu Office website. Submitted works must also be delivered separately by visiting the 4th floor of the Cultural Tourism Division at Jungnang-gu Office or by mail (courier).

The district will select three works in the product category?Grand Prize, Excellence, and Encouragement?and two works in the idea category?Excellence and Encouragement?considering marketability (commercial value), symbolism, and design. Winners will receive certificates and a monetary prize.

Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi of Jungnang-gu said, "I hope this souvenir contest will be an opportunity to fully showcase talents," and added, "We look forward to many submissions of unique and symbolic tourism souvenirs that represent Jungnang-gu."

The district plans to produce the winning works as tourism souvenir products and use them for promotion at various events starting in 2021.
