[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] Amid allegations that some medical staff at Chungbuk Provincial Cheongju Medical Center secretly administered flu vaccines to their families by diverting them, circumstances have emerged indicating that dozens of nurses and doctors were involved, prompting the police to launch an investigation.

According to an exclusive report by KBS, some medical personnel at the medical center are suspected of leaking flu vaccines and administering them to their families and others.

According to the hospital's internal audit results, 99 people have been investigated so far, and the illegally administered vaccines outside the hospital amount to doses for 184 people.

The medical center is confirming the specific details and facts of the leak through interviews with employees, and the public health center investigating the case is reportedly examining the possibility that more vaccines were leaked.

The police are reviewing violations of the Medical Service Act and the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act by analyzing materials handed over by the public health center and closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.
