8 Additional COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Seoul as of 6 PM Today

[Asia Economy Reporter Seongpil Cho] As of 6 p.m. on the 28th, Seoul city announced that 8 new confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been identified.

Among them, 2 cases were classified as 'Others,' including sporadic cases and past cluster infection cases, while 6 cases are under 'Investigation' as their infection routes have not been immediately identified and are being confirmed by health authorities.

The exact dates of confirmation for these cases were not immediately disclosed. There are often instances where the counts by Seoul city or the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters are reported later than the actual confirmation dates.

Accordingly, the cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Seoul has increased to 5,239. Among these, 'Others' account for 2,676 cases, and 'Investigation' cases total 906.
