The Korea Expressway Corporation Gyeonggi Gwangju Branch, Icheon (Hanam) Rest Area has recently established and is implementing an emergency response plan in accordance with the spread of the novel coronavirus infection.
Intelligent facial recognition thermal cameras have been installed in two stores at the rest area (a total of 2 stores) to measure the temperatures of customers and employees, and access is restricted if the temperature is 37.3℃ or higher. The store entrances have also been unified (2 out of 4 entrances closed) to strengthen management and prevent customers from bypassing controls. Restaurant users are required to thoroughly fill out customer lists to prepare for the spread of COVID-19.
All employees have made wearing masks a daily routine, hand sanitizers are provided in stores and offices to block transmission through physical contact, and special disinfection is carried out regularly.
Kim Tae-seung, Manager of Icheon (Hanam) Rest Area, stated, "This is a very difficult time. We will do our best to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus."
