Gyeonggi-do Opens Integrated Online Platform for Housing Welfare Information

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province has launched an integrated online platform for housing welfare information.

The Gyeonggi Housing Welfare Center announced on the 28th that it has opened the 'Gyeonggi Housing Welfare Portal (housing.gg.go.kr)', an integrated online platform for housing welfare information for Gyeonggi residents. Since May last year, the Gyeonggi Housing Welfare Center has been entrusted and operated by Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) under an agreement with Gyeonggi Province.

The Housing Welfare Center has been promoting the establishment of the Gyeonggi Housing Welfare Portal since September last year to overcome the limitations of the scattered and complex housing welfare information and to guarantee the practical housing rights of residents by providing user-centered integrated information.

The Gyeonggi Housing Welfare Portal introduces an online housing support service for new housing welfare demand groups such as university students and newlyweds, as well as a counseling management system for housing welfare officers in 31 cities and counties within the province who have difficulty accessing the internet due to being in housing welfare blind spots.

Through this, it provides integrated information on various housing welfare services such as public rental housing, housing cost support, and housing finance systems, and also offers support for counseling case management at city and county housing welfare centers and functions to extract new policy data through statistical information analysis.

Center Director Kang Hyun-sook explained, "With the opening of the Gyeonggi Housing Welfare Portal, we have not only improved residents' accessibility to housing welfare information but also will serve as a hub for resource linkage through support for housing welfare counseling management," adding, "Furthermore, we have laid the foundation for establishing housing welfare policies based on demand analysis in cities and counties."
