[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Jindo County, together with the Jindo County Branch of the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the National Public Officials Labor Union, conducted an integrity campaign ahead of the Chuseok holiday to eradicate unnecessary customs, bribery, and entertainment acceptance, and to promote a clean public service culture.
According to Jindo County on the 28th, the campaign involved distributing brochures on the Anti-Graft Act and public interest corruption reporting to internal employees during working hours as part of the promotional activities.
Under slogans such as "Corruption-Free Clean Jindo" and "Practice Integrity Starting with Me," placard promotions were held, and an integrity practice campaign was conducted to take a step closer to employees for advancing a clean public service society.
In particular, this campaign was a joint effort between the Planning and Budget Department staff and the Jindo County Branch of the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the National Public Officials Labor Union, creating an opportunity to promote integrity policies that boldly eradicate existing corruption and improper customary public service culture in the workplace through labor-management cooperation.
Im Seong-dae, Branch Chief (Jindo County Branch of the Jeonnam Regional Headquarters of the National Public Officials Labor Union), stated, "We will continue to fulfill the social role of the public officials labor union to create a clean public service society."
A representative from the Planning and Budget Department of Jindo County said, "Through the implementation of the integrity campaign, public officials will engrave their commitment to practicing integrity in their hearts, and we will continuously promote major policies such as integrity campaigns to establish a culture of integrity within the public service society, striving to become a trusted Jindo County for the residents."
