Emergency Work System Maintained for Employees in 7 Areas Including COVID-19 Emergency Quarantine Task Force
[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, will deploy 158 public officials to operate a '24-hour Comprehensive Situation Room' during the Chuseok holiday from the 30th of this month to the 4th of next month for five days.
According to Boseong-gun on the 28th, the operation of the comprehensive situation room during this Chuseok holiday focuses on quarantine measures to prevent the local spread of COVID-19 and ensure residents' safety. The main office has organized 98 personnel in 7 teams, and 60 personnel in 12 towns and townships, totaling 158 people.
The deployed personnel will manage 10 areas including traffic, prices, livestock quarantine, fuel supply, environment, health, disaster and safety, and forest fires, maintaining an emergency duty system in the situation room. A separate special situation room will be operated for the COVID-19 emergency quarantine task force and the disaster safety countermeasures headquarters.
Since early this month, the county has distributed 90,000 promotional items to spread a safety culture in preparation for Chuseok COVID-19, so that all residents can have a joyful and safe holiday. Special quarantine activities will also be conducted at multi-use facilities such as traditional markets, terminals, and stations until the 4th of next month.
Additionally, 102 religious facilities will be intensively managed, and an inspection team will operate to check compliance with quarantine rules at 56 vulnerable facilities for group infections, including PC rooms, karaoke rooms, and entertainment and dining establishments.
Since early September, the county has requested holiday travelers and hometown visitors to refrain from visiting their hometowns through SNS, banners, letters, and video letters from hometowns, striving to create a considerate and COVID-19 safe Boseong-gun.
The county has designated the period until the 11th of next month as a special quarantine period, suspending operations at all facilities to manage not only hometown visitors but also tourists, thereby implementing proactive quarantine management.
To create a warm and safe holiday atmosphere, the county has promoted visits to marginalized groups, pre-inspections of various facilities, and price control measures.
For a happy and warm holiday for all, from the 21st for 29 days, consolation goods worth 40 million won are being delivered to low-income families and disadvantaged and marginalized groups (1,553 people).
Also, to ensure a safe holiday, safety inspections of multi-use facilities have been conducted from the 21st to the 29th, and a price control task force has been activated to crack down on unfair trade practices and establish distribution order. Efforts are also being made to stimulate domestic demand through traditional market shopping events.
In particular, special medical measures have been prepared by designating duty medical institutions and pharmacies such as public health centers and general hospitals, operating emergency rooms at all times, and maintaining an ambulance standby system to provide smooth health care services.
A county official stated, “This year’s Chuseok, to prevent the local spread of COVID-19, we ask residents to refrain as much as possible from visiting hometowns or moving to other regions and to spend a comfortable and enjoyable holiday at home. The county is concentrating all administrative power on thorough quarantine measures and the operation of the comprehensive situation room.”
