Acquisition of Low Carbon Product Certification Following Environmental Label, Strengthening Competitiveness in Eco-Friendly Green Technology

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Sampyo Group, a construction basic materials specialist, has obtained low-carbon product certification for three specifications of ready-mixed concrete products.
On the 28th, Sampyo Group announced that three specifications of ready-mixed concrete products, '25-24-150', '25-27-150', and '25-30-150', received low-carbon product certification from the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute.
The ready-mixed concrete specifications are denoted as 'maximum coarse aggregate size - megapascals (strength) - slump.' For example, the '25-27-150' product means a maximum coarse aggregate size of 25 mm, strength of 27 MPa, and slump of 150 mm.
Last November, Sampyo Group obtained Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for four specifications of ready-mixed concrete products (24, 27, 30, 35 MPa), recognizing them as eco-friendly products with excellent environmental reliability.
Accordingly, Sampyo Group can now supply the three newly certified ready-mixed concrete specifications along with the four previously EPD-certified specifications, focusing on the products most widely used at construction sites.
