Goheung-gun Implements Comprehensive Safety Measures for Residents and Returning Visitors During Chuseok Holiday

[Goheung=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Goheung-gun has prepared a comprehensive plan and will operate a comprehensive situation room during the Chuseok holiday period to ensure that residents and visitors can have a safer and more comfortable holiday.

According to Goheung-gun on the 28th, the county has prepared comprehensive measures in nine areas directly affecting residents, including transportation, water supply, household waste, and health care, from the 30th of this month to the 4th of next month, a total of five days during the Chuseok holiday period, to minimize inconvenience to residents.

In addition, detailed measures will be thoroughly implemented to prevent various disasters and accidents, stabilize Chuseok prices, manage water supply, and establish a readiness system for accommodating tourists.

This Chuseok, a “Refrain from Visiting Hometown” campaign is being promoted to prevent the spread of COVID-19, so fewer visitors are expected compared to previous years. However, the comprehensive plan will be implemented without gaps to provide convenience to residents and visitors.

In particular, during the holiday period, COVID-19 screening clinics will operate normally, and eight medical institutions and twelve pharmacies within the region will be designated and operated. Emergency rooms at two hospitals will be run 24 hours a day to establish a rapid emergency response system, minimizing medical service gaps.

A county official stated, “We will implement the comprehensive Chuseok holiday measures thoroughly so that both residents and visitors can have a safe and comfortable holiday,” and added, “We ask residents to cooperate by following quarantine rules such as wearing masks, washing hands, and refraining from traveling outside the region to ensure a healthy Chuseok.”
